Case Studies: User-Generated ContentMaritime Aquarium: exploring social networkingThe Maritime Aquarium already had myspace and facebook pages. The goal was to try sites with a more specialized audience and see if they generated any more web presence and ultimately, more aquarium visits. A Connecticut Flickr group had a Meetup at the Aquarium, and it's a popular spot for photographers, so a Maritime Aquarium pool was created to collect photos of the aquarium.
I ran a video contest on YouTube to promote the Penguins on the Loose program in the summer of 2009. Here's one of the videos submitted for the contest:
